Langrand Account Executive

As we continue to grow our agency, we’re looking for talented individuals to join our team. We currently have an opening for an Account Executive in our Houston office. Advertising agency experience working on BtoB, healthcare accounts would be a big plus.

Computer Skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; MS Project and Visio experience a plus


  • Day-to-day coordination of agency activities and client contact on one or more accounts
  • Building a strong/lasting relationship with clients based on progress in achieving the client’s business objectives 
  • Ensuring agency activity is executed with efficiency that results in profit for the organization
  • Being familiar with the client's product, business culture and competition 
  • Leading internal teams in the development of strategic marketing plans and strategies for assigned clients
  • Discussing project requirements with clients
  • Developing and presenting estimates to clients for approval 
  • Negotiating with clients and agency staff concerning project details, schedules and deadlines 
  • Developing and maintaining project timelines 
  • Coordinating projects with internal agency departments 
  • Meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks
  • Managing project costs 
  • Reviewing all material prior to presentation to client
  • Writing conference reports, keeping records and financial details 
  • Keeping Supervisor/Director informed of/involved with client activities and issues
  • Providing support to Account Supervisor/Director
  • Exploring opportunities to grow client business and billings
  • Understanding the agency and client’s financial and operating procedures and policies
  • Preparing billing forecasts and following up on overdue invoices
  • Additional duties as required

  • Reviews and provides input on maintaining satisfactory levels of gross income/profitability on assigned accounts
  • Concurrently manages a high volume of marketing deliverables
  • Reviews deliverables for quality control with a keen eye for detail
  • Optimizes agency productivity
  • Delivers consistent superior work
  • Provides leadership within the agency on behalf of the client
  • Looks for opportunities to grow current client billings
  • Understands and is able to present Langrand and Company’s philosophies and capabilities
  • Interacts well with other departments within the organization
  • Provides timely and constructive reaction and responses to problems and questions
  • Organizes thoughts in a logical, clear, and concise manner
  • Able to direct and coordinate the activities of others; to motivate and inspire others; to assign and delegate work to others; to control and monitor the work of others


  • Requires 3+ years of experience in a client facing position 
  • Previous experience in an advertising agency preferred
  • Must be a confident self-starter, a team player, an innovative problem solver and able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Needs to be attentive to detail, resourceful, work well under pressure and have strong communication skills


Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communications, public relations, journalism, or related field or equivalent experience required.
