Part Time Graphic Designer - Print Production Lead

The part-time (25 hrs per week) Graphic Designer role is responsible for providing innovative graphic design and creative solutions to support the agency’s marketing, membership, development and programmatic department areas. The Graphic Designer is a resource for colleagues in understanding and implementing brand standards for the J. Your creative talent, ability to design, communication and persuasion skills will be in high demand and highlighted throughout the agency. Join an exciting and dynamic team.   • Provide innovative design and creative solutions, from concept to completion, for campaigns, including digital, video, print, web and various other media.
  • Work within Marketing Team and agency staff to enhance the brand and image of the J.
  • Conceptualize, develop and present designs and concepts, and garner consensus on design and direction in a collaborative environment, while meeting deadlines within project budget.
  • Implement and maintain agency brand standards and guidelines. Advocate for brand consistency with mission-driven visuals and messaging.
  • Manage colleague expectations of deliverables and process.
  • Provide art direction to marketing team, vendors and colleagues.
  • Work with vendors to manage costs and production of deliverables.
  • Must be familiar with communicating detailed print specifications (including paper weight, size, format, etc.) and preparing design files for printers, vendors, newspapers, etc.
  • Familiarity with print production for promotional items and apparel
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to work with employees at all levels
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work on comprehensive projects with general direction and minimal guidance


  • Experience and proficiency Mac and PC environment
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro,) Microsoft Office and Mac OS X platform
  • Minimum three years’ experience in creative/advertising environment or equivalent work experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro,) Microsoft Office and Mac OS X platform
  • Previous experience managing a creative portfolio of assignments according to agency priorities and deadline and budget required.
  • Previous experience managing design process from concept to deliverable required.
  • Previous design experience for multiple channels including digital, web and print.
  • Working knowledge of print processes from layout, prepress, paper and ink through finish and fulfillment.
  • Working knowledge with art production, file preparation and delivery to print vendors.
  • Previous experience managing typography, hierarchy of message, copywriting and proofreading.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.


  • Secondary education required, or equivalent work experience.
  • Bachelors’ degree in Graphic Design, or related field, preferred.
