
As the owner of the city’s longest-standing independently woman-owned agency, Brenda Love has consistently shown unwavering commitment to the community she loves and to client success through integrity, honesty, and innovative thinking.
A native Houstonian, Brenda grew up in the Heights and earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Sam Houston State University. She then graduated summa cum laude from San Diego State University with a master’s degree in advertising and PR.
In 1979, Brenda created Love Advertising with a start-up capital of only $500. Love Advertising has now grown to become one of the largest advertising agencies in Houston, with annual billings in excess of $50 million, and an impressive list of local and regional clients including Gallery Furniture, Shell, Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, Phillips 66, the YMCA, John Moore Services, CenterPoint Energy and Perry’s Steakhouse. Additionally, Love Advertising does pro bono work for the Ronald McDonald House, the Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation, and many others.
Love Advertising has won numerous awards, including multiple “Agency of the Year” honors in Media and PR, a multitude of Addys and Best of Show awards, and has won an international Jay Chiat strategy award (and is up for two more this year). Love has also been named one of the “Top Houston Advertising Agencies” for the past several years by the Houston Business Journal.
Brenda is a member of the President’s Circle at Sam Houston State University and was awarded the school’s “Distinguished Alumni” award in 2010.
She has also won multiple “Agency Principal” designations, the “Silver Star Award” from Media Alliance, and been inducted into the American Advertising Federation Hall of Fame.

In 2024, Brenda Love and Love Advertising were honored by the mayor of Houston, proclaiming August 1st “Love Advertising Day” to recognize Love’s “45 years of making a lasting impact in the City of Houston.”
Brenda and her husband, Ed Jones, have three children: Lindsey Love, Reese Jones, and James Jones.
